About a year ago…I bought some stuff at a furniture store…I didn’t have credit before I went in there so I had to make a down payment on the items I purchased. The lady who sold it to me said “now you have credit” and said that they report to experian….I checked my credit report about 3 -4 months later and didn’t see the furniture store listed there..do they only report if I’m late on payments? I’m ahead on payments and have never been late. Yet when I apply for credit at other places they reject me saying “limited satisfactory credit” why is that? Will the credit at the furniture store have any effect on my credit score/report?
They told me they report to Experian….I checked 3 months later and its not on my credit report…that was a year ago…
